GOKULASHTAMI & RAKSHABANDHAN CELEBRATION


“The Birth of Lord Krishna was for the express purpose of re - establishing the fundamentals of faith within the Hindu people”



 The twin festivals Gokulashtami and Rakshabandhan  were celebrated with an intense fervour on 24th Augest in our school. The festival ceremony started at     11.00 a.m. in the presence of Rtd.  Tahsildar  Mr.Nambi Ayyankar , Tirukurungudi.  The programme was started by prayer song. Chief guest delivered a thought provoking lecture about  Krishna Jeyanthi and Rakshabandhan. On his speech he pointed out the greatness of Lord Krishna and  the speciality  of Rakshabandhan . Our students chanted slogans from the Bhagavat geetha devotionally.  Dance of Gobikas and Uriyadi by Lord  Krishna were very special . Our kids were dressed as Radhas and Krishnas and beautified  the function .  Each class sisters and brothers were asked to tie the Rakhi rope during the function.      Parents were invited for the function.  Finally celebration concluded by Kendra prayer.
“ Raksha Bandhan is a term from the Hindi language which means a relationship or an association based on protection ”

Independence Day Celebration

“ This Independence day reminds us the struggle of the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our country ”

Independence Day was celebrated in a grand manner on  15th August in our school campus.  The  Chief  guest Mr. Gnana Shekaran, Senior Lawar & organizer of Arivu Thirukkovil  hoisted the National flag. Man. Nivethitha Didi, Vice president of Vivekananda Kendra and Rock memorial, Kanyakumari was the special guest.  Students from all the level participated in Band Display.

Students made the celebration a grand one by presenting different programmes as Bharathanatyam, different kinds of exercises,  Yoga,  Karate,  Hoops, and Pyramid.   Speeches  about freedom in Tamil and English were delivered by the  Students.  Inspiring speeches were given by our honorable guests and they awarded prizes to the students who scored more than 90% marks during the last academic year.  After the celebration, sweets were distributed to students and parents. The celebration came to end with Kendra Prayer.   Our School correspondent Shri. S.K. Subramanian arranged the function in a grand one.
