Swami Vivekananda after his wandering all over India  came to Kanyakumari  and sat in meditation in the month of  December 1892.  To spread these message of Swami Vivekananda amongst the public to focus on  cultural tradition, this Samartha  Bharatha Parva is being conducted by all Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya schools.
This year we have selected the rural area Samugarengapuram near Vallioor. Fifty students who were given enough practice and ten teachers went there. The programme was started at 6.30 p.m. Mr. Chandran (Ex. President in Samuagarengapuram),Mr. Murali Pannaiyar (Ex. President in Samugarengapuram), Mr. Chenkuttuvan (Ex. President in Durai Kudiruppu), Mrs. Meenakshi  (Rtd. Teacher), Mrs. Nageshwari (Staff nurse), Mr. Perumal (Government Teacher), Mr. Murugan (Teacher), Mr. M. Subramanian & Mrs. Santhaveni were the special guests.

Nearly 150 people were the audience. Our Principal Mrs. R. Andal welcomed the gathering and the programme was commenced by prayer song and Bharatham. Various cultural programme like Debate, Patriotic dance, Folk dance, Speech on Samartha Bhartha Parva were impressed by audience. Finally Mr. Subramanian and Mrs. Santhaveni presented a memento to our principal Mrs. Andal on behalf of Samugarengapurm people. Our Principal also presented the memento to all the dignitaries. The programme was concluded by Shanthi Manthra. Our correspondent Mr. S.K. Subramanian arranged the function in a successful way.

Mothers’ Day Celebration

We celebrated Mother’s day in a grand manner on 16th February 2019. The  function was inaugurated with lighting  the lamp by our chief guest Man.N.Krishnamoorthiji (Annaji) Editor, Vivekavani. 
Prayer song was presented by our teacher Mrs.Lalitha Parameshwari. The welcome address was presented by our teacher Mrs. Muthulakshmi. Mr.Rahupathi, Assistant Manager, SBI, Vallioor and Mr.Partheep Benival, Deputy Manager SBI, Vallioor were the special guests.  

  Our Correspondent Sri. S.K.Subramanian presided over the function.      Man. Krishnamoorthiji delivered  the great speech on Mothers’ day.  He insisted the mothers that they should know about their capacity as well as their duties.  
Next our Special guest Mr.Rahupathi addressed the audience. He spoke about the importance of mothers. Various competitions were conducted for mothers and the winners were honoured by giving prizes. 

Vote of thanks was proposed by our teacher Mrs. Nambi Nachiyar. Finally the celebration concluded by shanthi mantra. Our correspondent Sri.S.K. Subramanian arranged the function in  a good manner.
