                 “Mathru Devo Bhava,

                  Pithru Devo  Bhava,

                 Acharya Devo Bhava”

Indian culture lays a lot of emphasis on the deep emotional bond between parents and children. It is a healthy custom that we teach the children that God is worshipped through many forms and names. Among different altars of worship the first place is given to one’s own mother and then father then teacher.
To inculcate these words among the students, we conducted “Mathru  Pooja” in a grand way at our Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya , Vallioor.

Students those who are  going to appear public exams (X & XII Std)  participated in the Pooja. As per the instructions given before, all the students came with Pooja items along with their parents.  Though it is ‘Mathru Pooja’ both the parents are called to bless their children.
The pooja was commenced at         10.00 a.m. Sri. N.Krishnamoorthiji, Editor of Vivekavani, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari was the Chief guest. Mananeeya  Aparna Didi, All India Vyavastha Pramuk, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, Maneeya Janaki Pushpam,          Dist. Incharge of R.D.P., Vivekananda Kendra and well wishers  from Vallioor were the special guests. Mananeeya Aparna Didi and some of our mothers lighted the lamp.
Beloved Krishnamoorthiji gave the tremendous speech about the importance and benefits of giving respect to their parents and also he showered his blessings to the students to get more marks to forth coming public exam.
Beloved Janakipushpam guided the students throughout the pooja. Students did the pooja and worshipped their parents. Students got blessings from their parents for their bright future.
Hall tickets were distributed to the students with the blessings of teachers. The pooja was concluded by Kendra Prayer. Our Correspondent Sri. S.K. Subramanian arranged the  function in a grand manner.
