SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS


“A champion needs a motivation above and beyond winning.”


With the blessings of Swamiji,  we have taken a step forward. Our students won the medal in the sports events. This is obviously a land mark of our school.

                   30th  South National Junior Athletics championships 2018 was held at Acharya Nagarjuna University at Gundoor in Andhra Pradesh on 15th & 16th September 2018.  Two of our students got medals.   R. Mahendran (XI Std) got  gold  medal in Javelin  throw.  His performance was  49.44 mts.   P.Selva Ganesh (XI Std) got silver medal in Discus throw.  His performance was 43.27 mts.  Winners were appreciated and honoured by our school correspondent Shri. S.K Subramanian, Principal Mrs. R. Andal, PET Masters, teachers and parents.

VINAYAGA CHATHURTHI CELEBRATION


“Lord Ganesh of curved elephant trunk and huge body,

Whose brilliance is equal to billions of suns in intensity,
Always removes all obstacles from our  endeavours”







The birthday of Lord Ganesha is celebrated as Vinayaga Chathurthi. Every year we celebrate the festival by preparing the idol of Lord Ganesha with the help of IX Std students. Vinayaga Chathurthi Celebration was celebrated from 13.09.2018  to 20.09.2018.  Each class worshiped Lord Ganesha by offering flowers and prasadam. Students chanted manthras during the pooja.
After completing the pooja the prasatham was distributed to the students and staff. The last day pooja was conducted by X, XI and XII std students in a grand manner on 20.09.2018. After the celebration the idol of Lord Genesha was taken by our students for Visarjanam. With the blessings of Lord Ganesha the ceremony was conducted very auspiciously.

UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY CELEBRATION



“ Sisters and Brothers of  America” with these words of swami Vivekananda, India’s message of universal brotherhood reverberated across the world”








Chicago address of Swamiji in the parliament of world religion on September 11, 1863. “ Sisters and brothers of America is celebrated every year as universal Brotherhood day in the world. As per the excellencies of the universal brotherhood day, it was celebrated on 11th September 2018 in our school premises.




A mammoth procession was started at the waving of flag by    Man. Radha Didi, Dhakshi Pranth Sankatak, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, Man. Aparna Didi, All  India Vyavastha Pramukh was in the forefront. The procession was started from Vallioor Murugan temple and ended at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya which went through Perumal kovil, Vallioor Main road. The students’ band music was excellent. Swamiji’s inspiring thoughts and slogans were highlighted and  echoed  at the procession in which nearly 1050 students participated eagerly.

The various programmes like Bharatham, dance, drama were performed by students. To commemorate the 125th Swamiji’s Chicago address we have conducted elocution competitions in many schools.    Ramakatha dance was highlighted. Our chief guest Sri. Natarajan D.E.O. delivered a vibrant speech about universal brotherhood day. His interaction between the students was really interesting. He explained the difference between ‘ Teachers and Guru’  in his speech. 


Next Radha didi gave the wonderful speech. She also quoted Swamiji’s thought “Every soul is potentially divine”.  Next our  chief guest distributed the prizes to the toppers in the elocution competition which was conducted among Vallioor school students . Nearly 220 parents and 1450 students participated in the celebration. Finally programme was ended by Shanthi Mantra. Our correspondent Sri. S K. Subramanian arranged the function a grand one.

 “Let us remember the words of Swami Vivekanand and dedicate ourselves to furthering the cause of unity, brotherhood and world peace”.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

“Teachers plant the seeds of knowledge that will grow forever”.


We celebrate Teachers’ day every year throughout the country on 5th September. Students express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. This day is dedicated to Dr.Radhakrishnan, former president of India, the great academic philosopher and great teacher.   As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday has been observed as Teachers’  day.
We decided that the responsibility of teaching was taken up by the students as an appreciation for their teachers. Nearly 172 students dressed as teachers. They have prepared lesson plan also. Students taught the lesson interestingly. Winners were appreciated by giving prizes.
Thus we are celebrating Teachers’   day every year meaningfully.

GOKULASHTAMI & RAKSHABANDHAN CELEBRATIONS

GOKULASHTAMI  &  RAKSHABANDHAN  CELEBRATIONS
“ May this Janmashtami shower on your blossoms of love and peace. May the divine grace be with you today and always”.


          “ Rakhi is a special occasion that reminds  of brothers & sisters lovely time that they have spent”.
The festivals Gokulashtami and  Rakshabandhan were celebrated with an intense fervour in our school. Sri. Gnana Sekaran senior lawyer, Secretary of Arivu  Thirukovil , Vallioor,  Sri. Karthikeyan, lecturer, TDMNS college,  Kallikulam were the special guests.The programme was started by lighting the lamp. Bharatham, Kannan dance were presented by students. They danced as Gopikas and Krishnas. Conversation on Krishnas’ birth and life was displayed by students. Our  students chanted slogans from Bhagavath Geetha.  Special guest Sri.  Karthikeyan talked about  Krishna’s life  and  how it was profound impact on Indian culture. He also shared his views about the origin of Rakshabandhan.   Sri. Gnanasekaran  advised the students to give respect to the parents and teachers. Students from each class were asked to tie Rakhi rope during the function. Some of our students tied Rakhi rope to dignitaries.   Uriyadi  by our Krishnas was very special. Our Kids from LKG to I std dressed as Krishnas and Radhas made our school as Brindhavan .   Prasatham was distributed to the parents and students . Finally programme was concluded by Shanthi Manthra.
