102nd BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF MANANEEYA EKNATHJI RANADE
A mammoth procession was convened to commemorate the 102nd birth anniversary of Mananeeya Ekanathji Ranade (Founder of Vivekananda Kendra & Rock Memorial) at Vallioor on 19th November 2016.
The procession started at the waving of flag by Mr. Prabhu Baskaran, Sub Inspector of Police, Vallioor, Man. Radha Didi, Dhakshin Prant Sangatak of Vivekananda Kendra & Man. Aparna Didi, All India Vyavastha Pramuk, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. Shri. S.K. Subramanian, Correspondent, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya was in the forefront.
The procession started from Vallioor Murugan Temple and ended at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. The children’s band music was nice. Swami Vivekananda’s inspiring thoughts and slogans were highlighted and echoed at the procession in which nearly 900 students, parents and public participated eagerly.
We started the function at 2.30 p.m. We have arranged the art & Science exhibition for enhancing knowledge and skills among the students.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Perumal, R.T.O., Vallioor. He was very impressed by the presentation and he congratulated the students. The exhibition was divided into four section.
1. Art 2. Science 3. Maths & Social 4. K.G. Section 5. Spiritual. Rangoli of Gita Upathesh, Heart, Bharathiyar, India & Rock Memorial were superb.
The paintings of Dasavatharam, Bagavath Gita’s 18 Chapters & the Quotations of Man. Eknathji Ranade were there. Many school teachers, students, parents saw the exhibition and appreciated the students.
Our correspondent Shri. S.K. Subramanian presented the memento to our chief guest. We concluded the function with Kendra prayer.
