The Birthday of Lord Ganesha is celebrated as Vinayaga Chathurthi.
Every year Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya celebrates the festival by preparing the idol of Lord Ganesha with the help of IX and XI Std students. The vinayaga charthurthi celebration was celebrated from 27.08.2014 to 30.08.2014. Each class was given a chance to worship Lord Ganesha by offering flowers and prasadam. Students worshipped Lord Ganesha with Sastanga Namaskar and chanting Manthras.
After completing the Pooja, prasatham was distributed to the students and staff. The last day Pooja was conducted by X & XII students in a grand manner on 30.08.2014. After completing the last day celebration of Vinayaga chathruthi, the idol of Lord Ganesha was taken by our students for Visarjanam. With the blessings of Lord Ganesha the ceremonies had been conducted very auspiciously.

Independence Day was celebrated in a grand level on 15th August in our school campus. Shri.

Samithi hoisted the National flag. Shri.Ayyappanji, Secretary of RDP,
Vivekananda Kendra, Smt. Subbulakshmi
Sankararaman were the special guests.
Students from all the level participated in Band Display. They made the celebration a grand one by
presenting different programmes as Bharathanatyam, different kinds of
exercises, Yoga, Karate, Hoops, and
Pyramid. Students presented on
patriotism and sang patriotic songs. Inspiring speeches were given by our
honourable guests and they awarded prizes to the students who scored more than
90% marks during the last academic year.
After the celebration, sweets were distributed to students and parents. Our School correspondent Shri. S.K.
Subramanian arranged the function in a grand one.
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya is one among the educational institution conducted by Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. It brings nation builders of Mother Bharath. This institution gives man making and nation building education.

IT enrichment workshop held at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Port Blair near Veer Savarkar International Airport, specially for VKV Port Blair, Vivekananda Kendra Zila Parishad Vidyalaya and Vivekananda Kendra Nagar Palika Vidyalaya. Workshop covers the over all lab maintenance including hardware troubleshoot, software installation, operating system installation. Participant also learn to upload text and image on blog type website. The workshop was concluded in presence of Radhakrishnanji, secretary of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Andaman & Nikobar island and Sri Vijaykumarji Principal of VKVPB.
