MOTHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION
“ Mother is the name for Goddess in the lips and hearts of the children”.
We celebrated Mothers’ day in a grand manner on 17th February 2018. The function was inaugurated with lighting of lamp by our mothers. Prayer song was presented by our teacher Mrs. Lalitha Parameshwari. The welcome address was presented by our beloved principal Mrs. Andal. Mananeeya Radha didi, Dhakshin Pranth Sankatak, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari was the chief guest. Mrs. Kalaiselvi, professor, TDMNS College, T. Kallikulam and Sister Bhuvana, Nagercoil incharge, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari were the special guests. Our correspondent Sri. S.K. Subramanian presided over the function.
Mananeeya Radha didi delivered the great speech on Mothers’ day. She explained Mothers’ day is celebrated in the remembrance of Sri Rama Krishna Paramahamsa’s birth anniversary. She insisted the mothers that they should know about their capacity. Next our special guest Mrs. Kalaiselvi addressed the audience . She spoke about the importance of mothers. She quoted Bharathi’s song and explained about valuable points to grow a good model child. Various competitions were conducted for mothers and the winners were honoured by giving prizes. Vote of thanks was proposed by our teacher Mrs. Muthulakshmi. Finally celebration concluded by shanthi mantra. Our correspondent Sri. S.K. Subramanian arranged the function in a grand manner.
