Eknathji Ranade's Birthday Celebration & Science Exhibition

EKNATHJI  RANADE’S BIRTHDAY  CELEBRATION
 & 
SCIENCE EXHIBITION
 


Exhibition was held on 21st November 2017 to commemorate the 103rd birth anniversary of Manaeeya Ekanathji Ranade (founder of Vivekananda Kendra & Rock memorial).
Exhibition focussed on a scientific and creative attitude in our students to make them comprehend the interdependence of science and technology and society by a hands on experience.
The exhibition seeks to engage children and teachers to design and develop something novel. The exhibition was divided into four section 1. Arts 2. Maths 3. Science     4. Spiritual.
The Rangoli of Thiruvaluvar, test tubes & Brain  were superb. Spiritual  room was decorated by Bhagavat Gita’s 18 Chapter, the quotations of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade, display of Ramayana, Rangoli of “ Rama                Pattabishekam” were excellent. We started the function at 2.30 p.m.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Sri.Ayyappanji , Secretary of  RDP,  Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari.
He gave an inspiring speech about Maneeya Eknath Ranade’s life history .
He was very impressed by the science models presentation by the students and congratulated them. Students’ conversation  about Eknathji’s  life was inspired by everyone. We conducted the test on life history of Sister Nivedita who was the disciple of Swami Vivekananda. We selected top three teachers and top 10 students . They got prizes from the chief guest.    Finally the function was concluded with Kendra prayer. Many school students, teachers &  parents visited  the exhibition and appreciated the students. Our correspondent   Shri.S.K. Subramanian arranged the function in a grand way.

Best Teacher Award & Scholarship for Students by Redington Foundation, Chennai

Redington Foundation in the Development of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Matric.Hr.Sec.School,Vallioor

Redington foundation implements various activities towards the betterment of the society. It endeavours to address the needs in quality education belonging to economically challenged families. 
This year they have selected our school and sanctioned scholarship for students. Nearly 15 students who academically talented but economically challenged familiesare selected for getting scholarship.

Best teacher award is presented annually to an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to their profession by Redington foundation, Chennai.
We have selected one of our well experienced teachers Mrs. S. Devi @ Esakkiammal who has been working 16 years in our organization as a nominee.
The programme was conducted on Sunday 30th October at west Mambalam in Chennai. We got Rs. 90000/- as a education incentives for 15 students and Mrs. S.Devi @ Esakkiammal got the Best teacher award with special prize.

Sports Achievement


Sports Achievement 



  Students have brought laurels to the school by achieving 2 gold and 1 bronze medals at state level and they have qualified for the national level.
State level athletic competition was held at Trichy. Our students participated in the events under 17 years. P. Selva Ganesh won Gold medal in Disc throw. R. Mahendran won Gold medal in Javelin throw. R.Jagadeshwaran participated in Javelin throw under 19 years and won bronze medal. The gold medal winners will participate to the forth coming national athletics which will be held at Bhopal in Madhyapradesh.
The winners are appreciated by the correspondent , Principal, staff and students.

Vijayadasami Celebration

VIJAYA DASAMI & VIDYARAMBA CELEBRATION

           
  “May Goddess Saraswathi who is  protect us & Brighten our life with knowledge”



In our school, we celebrated Vijaya Dasami & Vidyaramba in a grand manner on 30-09-2017. This ceremony  was commenced with devotional prayer song by our teacher. Next one of our teachers  Mrs. Chandra Selvi welcomed the gatherings of the function.   Man. Aparna Didi  as a chief  guest made a great privilege for us and started the Vidyaramba ceremony. Next our special guest Sri. Ayyappanji, Secretary of RDP, Vivekananda Kendra felicitated the function with his presence. Next our school correspondent Sri. S.K. Subramanian continued the Vidyaramba with a great inspiration. Nearly 30  parents with their children participated interestingly in this function. Next our new admission students wrote the great Manthra ‘Ohm’ in the turmeric rice. This is a way of ancient tradition method writing in the rice. At last the celebration came to end with Kendra prayer.

Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration In Vkv Vallioor

UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY CELEBRATION

 “Sisters and Brothers of America” with these words of Swami Vivekananda, India’s message of universal brotherhood reverberated across the world.
 Chicago address of Swami Vivekananda in the parliament of world religion on September 11, 1863  “Sisters and Brothers of America is celebrated every year as Universal brotherhood day in the world.  As per the excellencies of the Universal brotherhood day was celebrated on September 11, 2017 at 2.00pm in our school.  The programme was commenced with prayer song. Our honourable Chief Guest Dr. Soma Sundaram (Velan Hospital  Radhapuram) lighted the lamp.  An interesting dialogue between the children highlighted all the important incidents happened in Swamiji’s life while going to introduce the Hindu Vedanta in the Parliament of world religion which held in America.  Next our Chief Guest  Dr. Soma Sundaram delivered a vibrant speech about Universal brotherhood day.  He also quoted the importance of reading.  Reading makes a man perfect and also enriches our knowledge.  Next our Special Guest Sridharan PeriyaNambi Swamigal (Aaacharya Peedam,  Tirukkurungudi) delivered an inspiring speech about Universal brotherhood day.  He told about Swamiji’s thought that “Each soul is potentially divine”.  Next our Chief guest distributed prizes to the toppers in the Ramayana Exam and also to the achievers in the state level and District level competitions.  Various cultural programmes were performed by our students.  Finally, the programme concluded by Kendra prayer.
 Let us remember the words of swami Vivekananda and dedicate ourselves to furthering the cause of Unity, brotherhood and world peace.

MATHRU POOJA

MATHRU  POOJA

                 “Mathru Devo Bhava,

                  Pithru Devo  Bhava,

                 Acharya Devo Bhava”

Indian culture lays a lot of emphasis on the deep emotional bond between parents and children. It is a healthy custom that we teach the children that God is worshipped through many forms and names. Among different altars of worship the first place is given to one’s own mother and then father then teacher. 
To inculcate these words among the students, we conducted “Mathru  Pooja” in a grand way at our Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya , Vallioor.

Students those who are  going to appear public exams (X & XII Std)  participated in the Pooja. As per the instructions given before, all the students came with Pooja items along with their parents.  Though it is ‘Mathru Pooja’ both the parents are called to bless their children. 
The pooja was commenced at         10.00 a.m. Sri. N.Krishnamoorthiji, Editor of Vivekavani, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari was the Chief guest. Mananeeya  Aparna Didi, All India Vyavastha Pramuk, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, Maneeya Janaki Pushpam,          Dist. Incharge of R.D.P., Vivekananda Kendra and well wishers  from Vallioor were the special guests. Mananeeya Aparna Didi and some of our mothers lighted the lamp. 
Beloved Krishnamoorthiji gave the tremendous speech about the importance and benefits of giving respect to their parents and also he showered his blessings to the students to get more marks to forth coming public exam. 
Beloved Janakipushpam guided the students throughout the pooja. Students did the pooja and worshipped their parents. Students got blessings from their parents for their bright future. 
Hall tickets were distributed to the students with the blessings of teachers. The pooja was concluded by Kendra Prayer. Our Correspondent Sri. S.K. Subramanian arranged the  function in a grand manner.

MOTHERS’  DAY REPORT – 2017

            In our school we celebrated Mothers’ Day in a grand manner on 18.02.2016. The function was commenced with devotional prayer song by our teacher. 
Next our teacher Mr. Madhan welcomed the gathering of the function. Dr. Balasaraswathi, Professor & HOD of History Dept., TDMNS College, Kallikulam was the chief guest.    Sri. Rajendran Ravikumar, Professor of TDMNS College, Kallikulam was the special guest. Chief guest explained the greatness of Mother, Teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsar & Life of Sri Saradha Devi. Sri. S.K.Subramanian, Correspondent of our school graced the occasion with his support in all the arrangements.

Many  competitions were conducted for the mothers and the winners were honoured by giving  prizes. Many mothers took more efforts and interestingly prepared more delicious and varieties of dishes from corn   grain.  Nearly 83 mothers participated. At  last the celebration over with Kendra Prayer.
