“Vgreat enthusiasm and devotion at Vivekananda Kendra Matric Hr. Sec. School, Vallioor from 2nd September 2024 to 10th September 2024. The nine days celebration was marked by various cultural and religious activities, involving students from LKG to XII standard.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of our honorable Correspondent Shri.S.K.Subramanian, and our respected Principal, Mr.T.Muthukrishnan, who officially began the festivities with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a prayer to Lord Ganesha. The celebration was conducted in a traditional manner, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and values upheld by the school.
Throughout the nine days each day saw different classes offering a variety of prasadam to Lord Vinayaga as part of the daily rituals.It was celebrated in the following schedule.
02.09.2024 : Standard LKG and UKG
03.09.2024 : Standard I and II
04.09.2024 : Standard III, IV and V
05.09.2024 : Standard VI, VII and VIII
06.09.2024 : Standard IX and X
7.09.2024 to 09.09.2024 : School
10.09.2024 : Standard XI and XII
- Teachers and Students chanted Mantras and Sang devotional Songs , filling the school with a spiritual ambience. After the Pooja, the prasadam was distributed to the respective classes, as well as to our correspondent, Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, fostering a sense of community and devotion among everyone. Especially our IX to XII students provided lunch for everyone during their celebration.
- On 10th September 24th , the final day of the celebration, the concluding pooja was performed by our correspondent, Principal and teachers. Following the ritual, Students from classes X,XI and XII participated in a procession to carry the idol of Lord vinayagar to a nearby temple. At the temple, another pooja was conducted, and the idol was respectfully immersed in a well, marking the end of the festivities.
- The Vinayagar Chaturthi celebrations at our school were a true-reflection of devotion, unity and cultural enrichment, Providing students with a profound understanding of our traditions and values.
