SAMARTHA BHARATHA PARVA CELEBRATION

Swami Vivekananda after his wandering all over India came to Kanyakumari and sat in meditation on 25, 26 and 27 December 1892. To spread these message of Swami Vivekananda amongst the public, to focus on cultural tradition, this Samartha Bharatha Parva is being conducted by all Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Schools.
This year we have selected the rural area Elaiyanainarkulam near vallioor. Fifty Students who were given enough practice and ten teachers went to the village. The programme was started at 7.00p.m. Man. Radha didi, Dakshin Pranth Sankatak, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari was the chief guest. Sri. R. Singa pandi, Sri. M. Muthumanickam, Sri. R. Ponperumal, Sri. S. Murugesan, Sri. M. Murugan, Sri. P. Vincent, Sri. A . Ramakrishnan, Sri. Paul Raj, Sri. K. Hari Krishnan and Sri. Sivalingam were the special guests.Nearly 200 people were the audience. Our Principal Mrs. R. Andal welcomed the gathering and the programme were commenced by prayer song and Bharathanatyam. Various cultural programme like Debate, Conversation on Sister Nivedita, Folk dance, Kendra activities and Peacock Dance were impressed by the audience. Man. Radha Didi presented the memento to the village dignitaries. The programme was concluded by Shanthi Mantra. Our correspondent Sri. S.K. Subramanian arranged the function in a successful way.
